I re-ordered these because they were so successful last Spring/Summer in attracting the bees. Down side: I didn't have enough to fill our bee house (already purchased by you all). A house wren thought it made a cozy nesting site, so it made a nest on top of the reeds, rendering them not useable due to possible mite infestations. I ordered extra this winter and I plan to put some kind of chicken wire on the front to avoid critters removing them!

Nice reeds, decently priced. I’ll buy them again.
They are more variable in size than say Crown Bee’s tubes, and a little more likely to have semi crushed openings. That is to say the bees get a bit of variety in every pack, and that can be good.

Recently started removing landscape rock from my front yard and leaving “weeds” and other native growth to help pollinators. I didn’t want my neighbors to think I was just lazy so bought this to put up!

Great reeds. They are more variable in size and are less “polished” than some, so not “reeds trying to be straws.” Some are quite thin walled and I suppose may need to be excluded if you have mono wasps.

The reeds are natural in appearance and have variation I hope will be appealing to and aid in localization for the bees!

I purchased the second house to give the mason bees more room. I have a house from a hardware store, but the length of the reeds were only 4” and it was coming apart. Instead of cutting down the reeds for that house, I purchased this larger house. If the little hardware store was getting activity, I know my little friends will enjoy these houses even more. Highly recommend.
