About Us

Amy V. Founder - Mason and Monarch
Feeling like you want to help our environment, the climate, the WORLD!? That sounds huge right? (Okay, lets scale back, we can circle back to saving the world a little later:))  Want to get involved with saving our planet but think it's too overwhelming and not sure how to actually help?  I completely get it!!!!

Think pollinators!  Trust me, they need you.  Pollinator populations, like bees and monarchs, are steadily declining at an alarming rate..  There is an immense need for help from us - no matter how large or how small, they need us.

From providing a small planter with native wildflowers and some water for hydration, to a larger garden of wildflowers and a solitary bee house to fields of natural prairie with diverse wildflowers, there are ways everyone can help.

"Creating a pollinator friendly lifestyle one backyard at a time"

I have loved bees for as long as I can remember.  Some of my fondest memories as a kid were wandering through my Gramma’s flower gardens filled with bachelor buttons, cosmos, zinnias and peony’s listening to the bees buzz and watching them do their work.

However, some of my mom's least fondest memories were me bringing in plastic deli containers filled with the bees I caught out of those beautiful gardens.  (FYI - No bees were hurt in the process - all catch and release, I promise:)).

I have always felt a connection with bees and now as an adult, a parent, feel like it is my duty to do something to help and bring awareness to the beautiful insects I have always felt enamored with.

As the old saying goes, do what you love and you never work a day in your life - so here I am, doing what I love, hoping I can inspire even just one person in my pursuit of really helping pollinators.

So, come take this crazy journey with me!  Have questions, comments, concerns?  Feel free to contact us, I would love to hear from you.  In the meantime, happy pollinating!
